Aside from blogging, and slowly increasing the number of words on the internet, my interests include spanking, bondage, power-play, role-play and enough other individual kinks that, to cover them all, I am going to have to refer you to my Fetlife profile, which is linked in the sidebar. I am strongly politically opinionated, and have been since I learned that you don’t have to be bland in order to keep your friends, or that any opinion I held wasn’t automatically wrong. It took a long time for that last lesson to sink in. I believe that the current system of political representation in the UK is fundamentally flawed, that a free market does not automatically regulate itself, and that a person should be able to express their sexual needs without it restricting what careers and life choices they are able to make, and without fear of discrimination or reprisal. It is my considered opinion that the patriarchal system damages as may men as it does women (for a justification of this, please read my Advice & FAQ section), and that gender should not be dependant upon physical sex. I do not believe that feminism is ‘no longer necessary’.
We are currently living in an era when all sorts of things have suddenly become possible for the first time. The internet means that it is more possible to make and maintain contact with people who share your interests, beliefs and ideals than it has ever been, and this has made (comparatively) reasonable dialogue on almost any subject available to anybody with access to the internet. The world-views which are available to you are no longer dependant upon who your parents were, where you live, or where you work. Because of this, the BDSM and kink community has an unprecedented opportunity to bring the ideas of consent culture, negotiated relationships, and freedom of sexual expression into the mainstream.
In addition to being a model and a navel-gazer, I am also an artist. All the paintings and drawings that you will see on this website are my own, and they are licensed CC-BY-NC-SA through creative commons, which means that you are free to distribute and adapt my work for non-commercial purposes free of charge, so long as it remains attributed to me. So – in other words – copy and share as you like, as long as you tell people that it was mine in the first place, and ideally include a link to my site. The license also requires that any work substantially based upon my work is likewise shared.
I am proud to say that I have been involved in the production of a fair amount of the material at DreamsOfSpanking.com – and in many discussions with Pandora Blake over the need for and place of consensually, ethically produced pornography, and how to get people to understand the ways in which it is not necessarily demeaning to the performers.
